LHD, 4.2, Manual, Opalescent Silver Blue, Full matching numbers car
Direct from California, we are pleased to offer this fantastic early 4.2 Series 1 Roadster for restoration. The car is an original matching numbers, LHD, manual car, manufactured in Coventry 9th Sept 1965. Originally supplied in the iconic colour Opalescent Silver Blue with Blue interior & Blue soft top. Overall this E Type is a great candidate for restoration, its 100% complete & although it has suffered some rust it is fortunately only I very easy to replace panels. The boot floor & rear valance will require replacing along with repairs or replacement required of the floors. Other than these issues the car is absolutely rock solid. The original body panels & chassis are all in good condition. The matching engine turns over freely. The hood frame is present and working although the material has deteriorated. The chrome trim is all present as are the original chrome wire wheels. The windscreen is perfect with no cracks and the dash is also usable with no splits. The heritage certificate from jaguar heritage confirms matching chassis, engine, body, & gearbox. It also confirms that this particular car was sold to a Mr Frances G Fankel. This ads further provenance to this rare car & with solid, original cars like this becoming increasingly hard to find this represents a fantastic opportunity to start your restoration from a very solid base. The car is here in the UK, available now with all taxes paid & is registered on the NOVA system with US Title present.
